Garrett Popcorn Shops® Launches
in Chicagoland Grocery Stores & Premium Retailers with New Recipes
-A first in their 71-year history-

Chicago (November 2020) – Garrett Popcorn Shops®, a Chicago tradition since 1949, is launching into Chicagoland grocers for the first time. The iconic brand is introducing four, new, obsession-worthy recipes that set the bar (yet again) for indulgent gourmet popcorn that make you wonder: is it a snack or is it a dessert?

Inspired by their world-renowned CaramelCrisp® recipe, which Garrett Popcorn has perfected for over 70 years right here in Chicago, these nostalgically new recipes continue to prove that nothing tastes as good as Garrett:

  • S'mores (6 oz bag) – With real graham crackers and a chocolatey coating that takes you back to those campfire days.
  • Simply StrawberryTM (5.5 oz bag) - With real strawberries and white CaramelCrisp® for a delightfully bright crunch.
  • Simply CocoaTM (5.5 oz bag) - With real cocoa powder and world-famous CaramelCrisp® for a sweet and salty indulgence.
  • Simply MatchaTM (6 oz bag)- With real green tea powder from Japan and CaramelCrisp® for a creamy green tea balance.

Each bag is individually sealed- and resealable- to keep kernels fresher. New retailers across Chicagoland are vying to be the first to add Garrett Popcorn to their shelves. Binny’s Beverage Depot is carrying the new items across their chain, with many specialty grocers also getting in on the excitement, from Big Apple Finer Foods and Potash Market, downtown, to Sunset Foods and Pete’s Fresh Market in the suburbs. Prices vary by retailer, around $6.49 per bag.

Batch to batch, made from scratch. Garrett Popcorn is still never mass produced in factories and always cooked in their kitchens. Their kernels are always hot-air popped (never in oil!), and are still handcrafted in copper kettles as they’ve been doing since 1949.
